Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe hails from America and is a country music singer/songwriter. Following the release of two singles and an album entitled Satisfied in 2007, she formed a band named Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley and Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe, Assistant Village Manager for the village in Riverside Illinois has more than fifteen years of experience in the private sector. She spent nearly five years in Iowa City as the Deputy City manager. The current duties of the Assistant Village Manager include management of the Community Development and Building Department in coordinating grant applications and working on special projects. In Riverside Ashley supports everyday operations of village services and implementing the strategic vision of elected officials as well as the entire community. Ashley has held a variety of positions previously, such as municipal planning, government communications budgeting personnel management collective bargaining and focus on climate change projects. Because of her involvement with the national community and working in communities with diverse populations, Ashley has gained an understanding of the complexity of differences and similarities with the way public institutions work. Ashley's classes focus on public leadership and management as seen from the viewpoint of a practitioner with experience.
